Birthright has helped my family tremendously. The diapers, formula, clothing, essentials like feeding utensils, breastfeeding supplies, feminine hygiene products, toys, activity toys, they have all helped me to supplement, provide and feel less guilt and shame when I need help. The women who make this happen make the experience more meaningful, they show compassion, understanding, empathy, give encouragement, pass on information and I feel like there is absolutely no judgment from anyone when I am being hard on myself for needing help. They allow me to let those feelings go. Our community NEEDS BIRTHRIGHT. We need a sense of community, compassion and love for parents or parents to be. And birthright provides that and SO much more. Thank you so much for all you do!
My husband was hit by a tow truck as a pedestrian and 4 days after we found out we were expecting. We ended up in a long term hotel with no way of having support nor resources. Birthright came alongside us and listened and encouraged us with offering so much care. For that we are so grateful.
Lost my job in 2022 with 2 children and another on the way. Never been laid off before, and it was a complete shock to my family dynamic as I contributed the most to household. Liquidated everything I had in 401K and most of my savings and still I was really struggling. Birthright not only provided me with temporary relief, but they actually cared about my situation with no judgment.
Birthright has helped me in times where I was unsure if I would be able to buy my next can of formula or pack of diapers. A true blessing to the community and families in need.
My most recent experience with Birthright was a little different. I was making much better money, but I took a longer maternity leave because of my mental health, and it hurt us financially for a little. I was BARELY getting the bills paid, and to think about getting the baby clothes and formula was scary at times. I reached out and they again were so incredibly helpful and kind. The most non judging people. She sat with me and let me cry for a moment as I explained how I was embarrassed. She talked with me, and told me I am not alone, and most new moms struggle, and that my mental health is what's most important. They again gave me everything I NEEDED, and I went on my way.
